New 3d toys? XIII
too lazy to model complex ones, so..for the sake of Realism, three simple toys, one for ODS, the other two could be used in Korea or cold war Europe, or Iran.

EW, and all you want 3d toys, whether you can have them, its now up to data patch master Jerry, and some department in F4 SuperPAK group.
i think there's no more "f4terrain theater dat patch", one exe, one patch, all toys.

Re: New 3d toys? XIII
Hi CCC
That is the intention of SuperPAK if you are happy to let your models be included - let me know.
BTW - Can you let Jerry or me have a list of models you have done (a zip of them all would be great as well but I'll grab em off of F4LE if it's too much work).
The realism department of F$SuperPAK is currently formulating lists of entities which need data/refined data so if I can have the list I can ensure that the data (FM's, blast radius etc etc) side of things is got underway.
BTW - I am stunned at the quality and speed of your work - excellent stuff.

I can only aspire to be like CCC, my only drawback is time. My day job (AWACS) keeps me away so if I get behind in my work its because I have no time. But I am diligent.

Believe me, im trying to "upgrade" to advance level , no easy job indeed.
For the time being, only few 3d Masters can perfectly handle complex ones, Rick, Fred, Ripper, Mike, ComGP, etc.
want new toys? ask Chris and Jerry, its up to F4SP guys!

Id settle for a Tornado GR1a, JP233 and cockpit for ODS... 50ft over the desert, screaming thru valleys, to drop some tonnage onto an airbase...

The Tornado 3D model is in-progress.
No idea about the Tornado cockpit, I assume it isn't being developed yet....Could be something you could help with!?!?
I am adding the JP-233 among the weapons to be added in the large Theater patch that I am working on now. ETA ~ 2 weeks for a working version....

Re: New 3d toys? XIII
That EF-2000 is looking SWEET!
The EF-2000 Vehicle data is soon to be included in the data patches, so this could be ready to fly in a matter of a few weeks! :^)
I must admit that I'm really excited about that as I've missed it since DiD's EF2K game.
Most of the weapons should be roughly modelled, but I am certain will need a deal of tweaking to get as close to reality as possible.
BTW, check out these pics: http://pookieweb.dyndns.org:61127/f4terrain/right.jpg http://pookieweb.dyndns.org:61127/f4terrain/left.jpg
Notive the 'High-Res' USAF logo on the wings and fuselage? We can do the same thing for the EF2K. Each logo requires 1 4-sided poly. I had to add 4 polys for them - 2 for the wings and 2 for the fuselage.
Notice something else? The starboard tail - with the CORRECTLY aligned letters! No more mirror images....If possible, I'd like to know how you have mapped the starboard tail, and if we need to, we can add a new texture for the starboard tail side in order to have the correct tail markings on both sides of the tail.
Let me know if you need help with the texture mapping.

Like I said, I assume nothing is being worked on for the Tornado? except for the 3D model?
>and you got JP233 canister done?
In progress. I have it acting like a JP233 in the data files, but I don't have the 3D canister model nor the 3D submunition model..,.
>and..whats "large theater patch"? a patch including all new toys? or the one with limited items?
The same exact patch I've been working on for many weeks. As was already stated, the high priority was to make the Balkans RP5+eF1.10 compatible. Now that I have accomplished this with my database edits, I am focusing on the new objects patches and more 3D modelling.

Make them all!!! :^)
We will make 4 texture sets, each with a different country's emblem on the tail and wings. That way we can utilize the texture set logic in eF1.10 to use different textures based on squadron numbers (in TacEdit). You may even want to make the tail into its own texture so it will be larger. That's totally up to you.
I'll insert the texture sets later so just focus on the bitmaps for now. I'll set up new texture numbers for it too.
BTW I've compiled all of the EF-2000 loadout data together so we at least will have the correct loadouts that are expected to be used. I expect that real-world loadouts won't use every weapon on every hardpoint, in the same manner that the A-10 real-world loadout doesn't use all the hardpoints for normal flights due to weight concerns. I will therefore configure the EF2k loadouts with these real-world weight considerations in mind.
When the Thud gets closer to being ready for prime-time, let me know the total number of textures so I can add them in.

Re: New 3d toys? XIII
Nice EF2K shadow model!!
Did you notice if it is a solid black polygon or transparent? I found that I had to toggle the trasparency of the B-2 shadow so that it was just like the F-16 shadow. If you load up the F-16 shadow LOD (LOD #2224) and select any of the nodes, you will find that the "node type" is "14". This means the 'transparent' flag is enabled.
Check it in LE in the LOD Edit screen:
1. Double-click on the CP node to open the "Node - Culled Primitive" screen.
2. Click the "pType" button
3. Click the Options-Transparent radio button.
4. Make sure the following conditions are met:
Color - single
Texture - none
Shading - none
Options - Transparent
This is a "type 14" CP node. Now you have the same transparent shadow as for the F-16.

Right, and you can use the Batch Node Changer to change all the poly pTypes to "14" at once. I forgot to update those polys on the B2 shadow. I think I did the shadow LOD way before I even knew about the transparent thing.

Thank you guys, i hadnt noticed that the shadows were transparent, anyways i know how to do it, thanks for your indications, thats the way i made the transparent burner in the F105
About that Batch mode, well, i discovered yesterday after making the whole nodes of the canopy one by one
In what im having problems is adding the logos ive done, ive done a bunch of them, but after importing the 3ds file i export the nodes and i save them as a block file (*.blk) and after that i try to import them in the ef2000 model file, but im not succsesfull, it looks weird.
Thanks for everything,
