I kept my word and I just came back from visiting the USAF Museum at Wright-Patterson, Dayton. Everyone here who loves aviation, given the opportunity, should really visit this wonderful museum. I was surprised, to say the least, when i entered the exhibit hanger and saw the Stealth Fighter. In fact, they had two of them on display, the
F-22 and the F-117. One might be fortunate enough to see one of these flying at an airshow, but at the museum you can get right up close and touch'em. Also on display were
F-105's(WW G version),Olds' F-4,F-111,F-15,F-16,A-10,B-1,SR-71,X-15,X-planes, various weapons systems and ordance. They had many WW2 and Korea vintage aircraft, too. There isn't any museum that is more comprehensive that this one,and they don't charge admission. I couldn't borrow a digital camera so I used 35mm 800 film.
I did take F-4 cockit pictures but i had to compete with about 4 bus loads of boy scouts. Because it's in a hanger, the light was low and the pit was dark

It's really just a play thing for the kids. So we'll see, but hey, i had fun
