Texture.bin-configuration numbers

Post by Joe Labrada »

In the texture.bin off korea, e.g. I can see:
quote:
# Start Set 14 has 6 tiles, Terrain type 7
SET 7
HFORR218.pcx 0 0
HFORR219.pcx 0 0
HFORR21A.pcx 0 0
HFORR21B.pcx 0 0
HFORR21C.pcx 0 0
HFORR21D.pcx 0 0
ENDSET
Or...
quote:
# Start Set 15 has 15 tiles, Terrain type 6
SET 6
HCOST608.pcx 1 0
1 615 281.873291015625 2972.48193359375
HCOST604.pcx 1 0
1 666.5 25.6248435974121 0
HCOST60C.pcx 3 0
1 948.5 76.8745346069336 743.120483398438
1 846 76.8745346069336 1870.61364746094
1 820 51.2496871948242 3023.7314453125
HCOST60E.pcx 4 0
1 846 51.2496871948242 409.997497558594
1 410 794.370178222656 948.119201660156
1 820 2485.60986328125 3126.23095703125
1 1666 461.247192382813 2588.10913085938
...
What is the utility off these numbers. I want to create new tiles. I have to create also these numbers? How I can to do?

Into the Manual off textures you not speak off these numbers. Are not important?:
quote:
./tbin2txt.pl texture.bin >korea.txt

in the end of korea.txt, add your own textures like:
SET 4
HDYNE100.pcx 0 0
HDYNE101.pcx 0 0
HDYNE102.pcx 0 0
HDYNE103.pcx 0 0
HDYNE104.pcx 0 0
HDYNE105.pcx 0 0
HDYNE106.pcx 0 0
HDYNE107.pcx 0 0
HDYNE108.pcx 0 0
ENDSET

Now were ready to create the mytextures.bin, use the perl txt2bin.pl with command line:

./txt2bin.pl korea.txt >mytextures.bin
Thank you very much

it sets terraintype
IIRC
I asume it is set be Pathmaker too.. but I absolutely donnot know for sure, also I seem to have lost/misplaced my reference doc on that.
I, as you have still one terraintype
good enough for testing, and fixing it up later doesn't consume too much of time.

SET is the terrain type. The numbers behind the tile PCX name are the paths or features or whatever to call them like road, river, ocean etc.

Use TheaterMaker packages PathMaker to create that stuff.
