Delete all of a certain type of object

Here's my problem I have a tree thats all over an island. I want to remove all of them not replace them. How can I do this is it possible?

In object browser, lock all other objects except this tree you want to delete. Then in mapview press CTRL-A (select all objects) and then you are free to delete this tree object type you got selected.
