Using someone elses Island

So what do you think the protocol is here ..... ?

I'll compiling a new map, partly using someone else island ... LEGUS to be specific, and the author (IGUANA) seems to have not been active in the community for 18 months +
I've tried contacting on the quoted email address, but it bounced.

What should do?
Can I use his wrp file (and one texture) and ensure he is given full credit for that part of the island in my "mix" ?

I'm not wanting credit for any others work .... I just want to make a nice set of islands (in one map) for the community that approaches the SARUGAO benchmark

By my opinion it should be handled in a way, what community members have given or released to the community, can be used by the community. Always to ask the authors and waiting for reply hinders or slows down our development in becoming better, in total. Having a look to the forums, new addons are faster then replies.
Like with engineering literature, those who write their own book use references from other books and have the original name and authors, collected in an index without asking before. That's how it is handled.
What I see, this has become standard and accepted behaviour in addon making at all and is not be further discussed by anyone, I think

What exactly are you using from his WRP file, please give more details?

The WHOLE Legus island .....
Im making a multi-island map/island ..... one is LEGUS ... another is Visnorsk. I am now adding some extra of my own smaller islands into the map.

Hence a terrian with 5-7 islands of varing in size .......... much more interesting for MP coop missions etc
