Due to the current limitations of GE

Hello everybody, due to the size limitations of the new GE, for now the north dakota and the buenos aires terrain will be put on hold, i cannot convert the ND map and dont know if its even worth it to start developing the Buenos Aires Los Angeles map…
But i would like to start developing a 4km map, the location is near osceola, WI, yes its a bit small but for now its what Giants limitations lets us do, i will be awaiting approval from Snake Man to send him the exact location and start the map base files preparation process

Okay I'm now ready to make you the terrain source files, however what size do you want, as you recall years ago I said I wont do 2-4-8-16 sizes anymore, but I'm honestly so beat now that I couldn't care less.

So its google/maps location east farmington wisconsin and you want both 4km and 8.1km or?

Okay after a brief struggle I managed to download the data, unfortunately US NAIP was not available, but ArcGIS is cloud and patch free so it looks very nice.

Here are the specifications for 4km little girlie men size and the 8.1km medium size terrains:

Yes, the 8.1km is with one meter per pixel heightmap resolution, if you decide to downgrade to more manageable 4096 grid let me know, I can either re-download it or use L3DT to downscale it, should work fine as is high res data.

Special note for everyone, this was extraordinary circumstances, I am never going to do 2, 4, 8.1, 16.3 or 32.7 kilometer terrain source files for anyone for any reason, I'm happy to do any other sizes so let me know.

Forgot to mention these terrains are done with 1 meter resolution 3DEP heightmap elevation data, that is so accurate it is scary

you are right, heightmap resolution is scary and awesome
