I’m needing some help getting a PMC terrain for a 12km map. One of you guys helped me in the past and needing a new one and wondering if you’d be willing to assist me again.

I'm looking to get a 12km dem made for Raymond IL. This is my home town and would make a great midwest map for everyone to enjoy. I would be willing to help out with other projects you guys need help with if I can. Here is a link to the google maps of what I'm looking for.

How did your previous terrain project go, did you finish it, was it released?

it was going along figured out quite a bit on it. then I don't know what happened. Messed something up and didn't have a backup file. Tried to get it back and never could. Threw in the towel for a while and messing around with a blank map learned a lot more. Ready to move on to something else.

Is this raymond, illinois? google/maps.

If so, can you orient that google/maps link to the center of the terrain and then copy paste it back to here, don't click any other extra features which make the link longer, just zoom, move and then copy-paste, simple.

And you wanted it 12.2 kilometers x 12.2 kilometers (12288 x 12288 meters)?

how do i know if i'm 12km x 12km?

instaed can you do an 8km x 8km with Raymond in the middle of the map

First you ask for 12km size terrain and now you don't know what kind of size it is. Where did you get the size idea in the first place, meaning the number twelve?

I was going to to a 12km but after thinking about it, I’m not wanting to go that big. That’s why I’m cutting it to an 8km. And as for figuring out the size I wasn’t sure how to tell how big the area I was looking at in google maps

There is a measure tool in google/maps, right mouse button, it even shows both imperial and metric distances.

Forget "blank mapz" crap. You make your own terrain. There are tutorials for that in our website:

BTW heightscale is 29.55 in your new source files.

Now when you start to develop the terrain please keep us updated with the progress, you can post updates into this topic. If you have any questions how to edit something, first search our web page and then just create new topic per error/problem.
