There was topic previously called ArmA Editing - City creation algorithm so please check it out, we continue here on ArmA 2 editing now.

It still does somewhat rough work, but its already putting out somewhat random stuff that you can't make out so many patterns as previously :)

Now if we can put in some roads and variations of how to place the buildings, not stack up the whole city completely house-to-house style, maybe add some parks or some other areas. Anyways, work to be done.
