Re: FEATURES OF THEATER...
Seems like its all there in Natural Earth, but in a different format.
You have to remember that almost all the tools which used the older features data format were created specially to use that said format. Unless a converter is created to convert the new stuff to the old format (slightly possible but improbable) or the tools are re-written completely (highly unlikely) then we aren't getting any new theaters!
Which, if I'm honest, is no bad thing because there are plenty of unfinished projects in the field today anyway! How many more unfinished theaters does one sim need?

Hey FoxThree, all the USGS data has been moved over to http://data.geocomm.com/catalog/index.html you`ll need to register an account to download the .e00 format but hey its all there still and free.
Cheers.

Re: FEATURES OF THEATER...
PMC also has tons of countries e00 data to be used with Dem2terrain. I don't have any list available now, but there are several countries.

Thank's for that link.sputterfish wrote:Hey FoxThree, all the USGS data has been moved over to http://data.geocomm.com/catalog/index.html you`ll need to register an account to download the .e00 format but hey its all there still and free.

As a totally noob, I was able to DL most of the datas from there,
but sadly for some countries there don't exist some (if not all) e00 data.
Is that a problematic thing or does it not matter (much)?
Also a small hint regarding the PMC Tactical Ultimate Theater Tutorial.
In the first part of the DCW section we see which data to DL:
* Political/Ocean (point)
* Populated Places (polygon)
* Populated Places (point)
* Roads (line)
* Drainage (network)
* Aeronautical (point)
When I do this, I get an error while loading these data into dem2terrain.
"Unregionized types of e00 POPOIN.E00"
... but further down in DCW section at the open (E00) dialog box,
we see that Political/Ocean must be (network) and not (point).
So when I try to load Political/Ocean(network) instead of (point)
then it works fine.
Best regards,
