For long time I was hammering and surfing Mogadishu google earth location, it was some old 2005 dated imagery there. But today I surfed there once more and I noticed there are lot more 2009 copyrights on the footer and yes indeed, the satellite imagery has been updated.
There is tons of details now on the airport for example. The airport grass was very brown or non existent earlier, but now its very lush green, very interesting to see that.
There is also three cargo ships on the port, wonder if those are the pirated ships
The google 3d warehouse thing has placed 3D model of the Olympic Hotel in place.
