Chernarus lite from demo works nicely in the full ArmA 2 game too.
Just take chernarus_lite.pbo from the demo addons dir and put it on a mod directory of your choice, it shows up as "Chernarus" ingame, so then you have two identical ones except the background image, in my ArmA 2 install the lite is the bottom one, but I think you'll recognize it quickly from the background image difference.
