In 3DS Max you can install plugin called Polygon Cruncher, it will take your model and reduce the polygons in it, making it more suitable for low poly game modeling use.
I tested it briefly when I had 3ds max installed, it worked ok no problems. I wasn't totally impressed by its results, but yeah indeed it beats any manual work you'd have to do for the model to reduce its resolution. I mean going from 5000 poly model into 100 polys is going to take some work, with this tool, its quite fast.
Has anyone else used it, any tips etc how to configure it properly for best results?
