Weather editing in larger theaters

Post by Sherlock »

Ok, new topic!

There are some threads here and at Frugals that say that weather never worked correctly for 128x128 theaters (or larger) in SP3/4 because it required exe edits which could no longer be done (after G2I agreement lapsed). Is this true? Were the exes ever updated to work with larger theaters? If so, how is the weather controlled/modded?

Peled,
I'm not using FF. I am using AF (based off of SP4). Trying to get ODS problem solved. I have clouds no problem. Just trying to learn exactly where we stand today in 2006 because of these old posts...kinda misleading...thanks!

I can't remember more than what I can now read from your references. I remember there was some weather issue, I even remember discussing with once in detail with Widowmaker... but what is the real outcome, I don't know other than yeah its not working.

You can try to catch some clouds/weather on the lower left hand corner of the theater, that might indicate some real problem if there is one. Just a wild guess.
