Anyone know what effect the "GPS bomb" flag has?

It means the bomb has GPS guidance, therefore will not be affected by bad visibility and other things like that when released. It will just home in on the coordinates if they are within range.quote:Originally posted by icebrain:

Re: New F4Browse V2.5
I tried to use F4Browse2.5 the other day. When I opened the ute, all I see are f4.fed and f4tree.fed files. Why is that?

This allows you to choose if you want to edit the database with trees in it, or the original. If you choose the tree version, it will open the tree versions of the files, otherwise the plain originals.quote:Originally posted by Headhunter:

Re: New F4Browse V2.5
O.K., I understand that part. Nonetheless, if I attempt to open the furschluggener @#%^^ file, all I get for my effort is a momentary flash on my monitor and it's back to the F4browse icon. Before deleting SP2browse; and, after installing 2.5, if I tried to use SPbrowse Iwould see the following: " Cannot map falcon4.fed file!" After clicking "OK", it worked. Not so with 2.5.

OK - now I'm confused. I guess we'd better start from the beginning. What version of f4browse are you using, what version of F4 are you attempting to edit?quote:Originally posted by Headhunter:

Is there any more info you can give about other possible errors? Are you runing any other F4 related programs?
Julian.

Re: New F4Browse V2.5
Sorry about that. First of all, I'm running SP2. I was running v2.4 and had no problems opening the .vcd file. When I downloaded v2.5, that's when the trouble started. Initially I didn't delete 2.4. When I tried to open 2.5 with the previous version still in the computer, that's when the screen would flicker and all I'd see was the f4Browse icon. If I tried to open v2.4 afterwards, that is when I would see the message indicated in my last post. After clicking "OK", v2.4 functioned normally. I even deleted v2.4 and reinstalled v2.5 with the same result. When I clicked to open the .fed file, I got the flickering screen and back to icon. I know this is too damn wordy; but I hope I am giving you enough info. Thanx for your help.

Re: New F4Browse V2.5
Humm - can't really explain it. Works ok on the systems I tried it on. Failed to map usually means something else has the file already open, which could be another f4browse, tacedit, or Falcon itself.
As to why 2.5 fails - I can't explain that, there must be something happening that means it gives up early. Your saying you see no dialog or anything on the screen with 2.5?
Julian.

Re: New F4Browse V2.5
Oops - ok - I jsut tried downloading 2.5 and I get the same issue. The one I compiled here works fine though - so might have been an issue in the compile. I'll send a new version to snakeman, see if that fixes it.quote:Originally posted by codec:

Re: New F4Browse V2.5
Further news - a small bug in the 2.5 is the issue, that if it can't find one of the new SP3 files, it exited. 2.6 on its way which cures this.
Once more peace and harmony will break out
Thanks for the report
Julian.

Re: New F4Browse V2.5
I had 2.3 version of f4browser, it ran fine. Just tried the 2.5 version. It ask for its file and after that, the windows closes and ... nothing is happening. I cannot enter in f4browser main window.
BTW, I'M using 108i2 + RP5a, would that be the problem?? Is 2.5 version only compatible with the sp2??
