Anyone interested in helping to test the installer, and, ultimately to help with tiling and betatesting email me at T_Rex_Afghantheater@yahoo.com

There's also a yahoogroup, but its not very active, yet.

I was able to download and install tonight. The install went without a hitch. I created a simple TE with me and a wingie on a training mission. I flew around a bit, game my wingine a RTB order, of which he did not respond. I then looked down and flipped on my Radar Altimeter and while I was in the process of looking back up, the screen froze with a bunch of jumble garbage, and then the computer rebooted.

I haven't even tried to reproduce it, and I expect we are expecting this kinda stuff now. I'll let you know if it seems consistent.

Later!

128 theaters have reproduceable CTD in the left-down view (kneemap?) - yet no fix available unfortunately.

Dont look left-down in the cockpit! :)

LOL

Snake - I just emailed you reporting this problem! I knew I shoulda checked here first! :)

Anyway to maybe prevent the look-down-left problem by (temporarily) taking out that view (or maybe taking it out of the .dat file). I'll see if I can get in touch with Aeyes about this.

Yeah, would make sense, it did crash on the down left view for me. I got all the theater tools last night, and did some playing around with Terrain View, so I think I can start working on some tiling any time now.

RE:Tiling

Great - let's start with the ME/ODS terrain! :)

Sorry for the bait and switch a little bit. It'll take a bit more organization to really start tiling. I think it'd be better to get some practice with the ODS theater while we get organized to do the tile correction in Afghanistan.

Having said that, I've been thinking ahead a bit, too, and would think it'd be best to start tiling around Kabul, Kandahar, Mazar-E-Sharif, and Jalalabad. Maybe the ingress from the Sea, also (always good to have nice scenery while flying long sorties).

:)

Sounds good,

Let me know what areas of ODS you want me to start working on, segement numbers. Give me a small batch at first so that I can do a little and let you check it out to make sure all looks well, then I can work on longer chunks.

If u have ef of Sp beta ive gotten it to work by selecting the voodoo 1 & 2 compatiblity which removes kneemap access so one can see down left.
