Isn't LANTIRN two pods?
Hey guys. I have a question baout he designing of the F-16 models. I am 100% sure that the LANTIRN pod constist of basically two parts. The first one helps in the navigation of the plane and the other one is used for laser-guiding. I have noticed with Falcon ever since I installed the original version that when armed with LGBs there is only the laser-guiding pod. I was wondering why this is the case.

Hi Butcher,
The new F-16 variants have both pods modeled.

Re: Isn't LANTIRN two pods?
You are correct...LANTIRN is two pods.
The one on the right side of the intake is the targeting pod. The one on the left is the Nav pod. Since we've started conveting over to NVIS, we've stopped flying with them. Extra drag. More stuff for the zippers to break. Less stuff for the specs to have to mess with. Easier for everybody that way.
