SP3 Hawaii CTD

I just installed the SP3 Hawaii theater into my F4 SP3. The install went fine and "Hawaii" shows up in the list when I click on "Theaters". However when I select "Hawaii" and then click "Ok" it immediately crashes to desktop.

I feel like I'm overlooking something simple but at this point I'm at a loss. Can anyone help? Thanks.

p.s. I have no other theaters or campaigns installed; SP3 Hawaii was the first one.

Just an update. I reinstalled the Hawaii theater, and at the end of the install a dialog came up titled "2BYTEF4PTINSTALL". The dialog itself said "No level 2 file C:\Program/terrain/theater.l2", whatever that means. I think I may have seen this dialog the first time I installed Hawaii, but had been too quick to close it without reading it. Anyway the results were the same after the second install attempt - F4 CTD's upon selecting "Hawaii" and clicking "Ok".
