Tactical Reference

I'm interested in making some addition to tactical reference. I have started to look at the tacrefdb.bin file.

But before I go to all the trouble of understanding all of its part (hex is always likely to give you a headache!!) anyone can give me info on it (it would save me a lot of work).

I have manage to understand most of the structure of the file.

The only two things I cant seem to find are:

1- what identifies one plane to be in what category (ex.: what make the a-10 beeing in the attack category instead of the bomber one)??

2- what string is ending the record of one plane and sarting the record of the next plane.

Note: As well as making some new entry in the tac ref, I am more and more interested in making a program to allow you to access the information of the database. (like in accessing the database from windows)

Any help would be appreciated!!
