Falcon V: dropped?
G2Interactive Going Under? No Falcon V? - 10 September, 2002 15:06 CDT
We received word today from a trusted source from within Guillemot France that
From sim-news:
G2Interactive/Force 12 Studios is closing its doors due to a lack of funds. We have not been able to confirm nor deny this information as of yet. This would, of course, mean there will be no Falcon V which would be quite a disappointment to many fans of the Falcon series. We will have more information for your as soon as it is available.

modders back to regular development? :p

Re: Falcon V: dropped?
Yeah, i heard the news. but telling the truth except of the first shock of wich i encounderd i can't find any sadness in that.
we did along way since December 1998 and it will be a shame to throw all that for a game we know nothing about.
Long live Falcon 4 i guess

Just found this on the Frugalsworld Falcon 5 forum :
Falcon 5 Grounded
COMBATSIM.COM has learned that development of the highly anticipated modern air combat simulation, Falcon 5 (sic), has been put on hold. Our sources tell us that funds for the project are not forthcoming at this time and most of the team (e.g., programmers, modelers) working on Falcon 5 have packed up, left the project, and are now in search of new opportunities. We are also told, however, that most of the team are still enthusiastic about the project and would willingly return if funding for the project were to once again become available.

Sorry for the delay in responding. A lot has happened. We've had a reorganization and a funding issue that is resolved. We are working away on OIR and V. OIR is scheduled for Q2, 2003 with V sometime in 2004.
If you call the office and I don't answer, please leave a message. I'll return your call.

Alright, this one sounds more positive.
It means 3d guys have to bear with LOD format for couples of months.quote:
- For immediate release:
September 17, 2002: Force 12 Studios was reorganized after suffering an interruption of cash flow. The effects of 9-11 and the stock marked slump required the investors to rearrange financial commitments in order to continue the effort on Falcon. Unfortunately that took longer than anticipated.
The result of this is Operation Infinite Resolve release is delayed until Q2, 2003 and Falcon V until 2004. With a little luck we will beat the Q2 release but as of today, that time frame is firm on the schedule.
Everyone at Force 12 Studios is busy with OIR and Falcon V.
