well, you really want floating icebergs?
my 2c, those near coastline are standstill, so you use new tiles for that.
one huge ones need 3d model.
and flat ones use sea-level cloud system.

It seems Oceanic Icebergs are smoother, and cleaner, and typically a bluey/white colour... While Glacial Icebergs are more Jaged (i suppose from not being in the sea) and look much dirtier... grey/brown and white...
