total lock up

I am flying SP3 on XP Pro and using a Courgar joystick file and have had no trouble with any. I get total lock-up in the planning stage menu screen. Music stops, I mean everything locks. Suggestion? I am very excited to try this work of art...it looks beautiful.

Is your default Korea still OK?

Are the ODS IA's OK?

Have been Beta testing ODS 3 since the beginning and found it to be MORE stable than Korea, IMHO. But mostly IA and "sight seeing TE's" not much camp. work

Tried an uninstall / re-install?

I have gotten past total lock up by a reinstall but I have NEVER been in the cockpit. When I get to the loading screen, it stops on the bottom square and that's as far as I go. SP3 plays great, no problem.
current rig:
PIV/2.2, 512 RD RAM, Gainward ti 4600 Gforece 4 with nvidia 30.30 driver set, creative lab game audigy with latest dirvers, Abit TH-7II-RAID mobo, 2 Maxtor 20 mg in RAID strip, Courgar HOTAS.

i heard some post on Frugal said it takes 10+ minutes to enter 3d world.. not sure though.. give it a try?

Korea is fine. In fact, I'llplay a Korea TE and then switch to ODS just to be sure and the same thing happens. Maybe I am not waiting long enough. I'll wait for about 3 minutes at the last "loading square".

Then it freezes/locks up on the last loading image, what happens of you press space or enter key?

Try to run the start -> programs -> Falcon 4.0 SP Desert Storm Theater -> Rebuild Desert Terrain.

Tell me what happens after that.
