the screenshots were for the text being Korea instead of Desert Storm ... should have made that clear but the wife was chattering at me when i was trying to post it ...
as for the number of Marines on the Kuwaiti/Saudi border, i know the majority of both the 1st Marine Division and 2nd Marine Division (around 75,000 men & women with M1 and M60 tanks, towed 155mm artillery, LAV's, AAV's, and numerous supporting units) were there as well as numerous other forces from the coalition including elements from the Kuwaiti, Syrian, Egyptian, British Armies as well as others. i'm sure elements of the US Army were there also but i know the Marines were the first to breach the Iraqi minefield that was strung along the border. There was also a Marine Expeditionary Brigade consisting of around 10,000 marines sitting on ships in the Persian Gulf awaiting an Amphibious Assualt on Kuwait that never took place.
like i said, no complaints from me, this is a damn good job for all those who are involved.
semper fidelis, Jar
