CCC, these guys were in desert storm, and racked up about 1000 armor vechicle kills.

I think you'll find in 1990-1991 All USAF F-111's (except EF-111) had black undersides with an SEA style three tone on side and upper surfaces...

seems your correct zaggy, i was looking at an old gulf war video with the F-111F and sure enough the underside was black, but the pave tack pod was still painted all od green.

When they got here to Cannon, the F models got repainted with night fighter gray. Kind of a dark..um..well gray. The D's had that camo scheme which I much preferred over the gray, but hey, that was above my pay grade.

The gray was easier to keep looking clean. Though "clean" is a relative term when talking about the Vark, as merely walking by the thing could cover you with grease and hydraulic fluid.

The EF was absolutely horrible. Robin Egg Blue, who the heck thought that one up, eh?
