If you are patient Vietnam fan, you could wait for a few days so we can release the next Vietnam Beta out with excellent installer.

Or you can try to use these install instructions found here:

Is this the InstallShield package you're referring to?

Yes, here's what i did.
1. Uninstalled F4 and deleted entire dir.
2. defrag,reboot.
3. reinstalled F4,reboot
4. delete msvcrt.dll, install 108,reboot
5. unzip ibeta 108i2 to F4 dir.
6. unzip F4 patch 3.2 to F4 dir.go to file expand package
7. double click Nam installer,installed,reboot
8. Went from start/programs/falcon 4 vietnam theater select "switch to vietnam"
9. it calls up F4patch executable window reads Falcon4\F4Patch_standard_32.exe
then went to terrain and selected vietnam, apply patch.Yes! exit.
10. Went into to winexplorer opened F4patch.exe selected 108i2 exe
11. applied fly/task,Erazors memory leak plug,RP4.1 patches, they all applied. Launch. it works.
The only problems so far are graphics related. The Gulf of Tonkin water has white dots on it,but as you fly closer,it goes away. Other than that, everything looks good, no runway stairs, sams, aaa, migs,AI, its all working,no stuttering, no CTD's.

Thats because it uses Balkans texture.bin ;-) hehe sorry about that but that versio was just based on the installation_procedure. I'm gonna now make a install package which will be preview FOR the BETA, there we have all the latest campaigns, terrains, JSTARS maps and the loading pie screen.

I'll be sending email when the next preview packet is ready.
My belive is its gonna be sunday evening or monday as I'm kind of relaxing on weekends Image

Anyways, great to hear it works ok and big thanks goes for you to test it for me. Thanks!

Right now we are running the preview 8 of the Beta 4 already Image every day the theater grows better and better, thats one reason whe kind of delay it day after day, so we can add more and more cool stuff to the campaign, terrain and map files etc.

How many days/weeks/months to the release?
Simply: Week from now...? (gulp)
quote:And, will the nexxt release include the newer, bigger area map???
This is the reason why I want to delay the beta release, we are SO CLOSE to break the 128-segment-campaign barrier that it just tickles me all around. The campaign Runs... but wont schedule flights, meaning the campaign clock runs but there is no aircrafts in the air.

If we cant get the campaign to schedule flights within one week, then its time to delay that work (by not delaying the beta anymore) for next releases and release Beta 4 to the public.
However I'm still not sure of the exact date, but I'm sure the next vietnam beta will be out within TWO weeks for 100% certain Image

Shut your face, hippie!

Damn the tiling is progressing so good now I want to get 100% tiled terrain to the next beta, will that make to the "in two weeks" promise is another matter. Aah, some hard work is needed again, but its cool to work under pressure, keeps me on the edge Image

You just an old burnt out hippie snakeman?
Got one of those multicolored VW van's with flowers painted all over?

Ha! Woodstock is only an hour and half away from me. I miss Jimmy Hendricks though, i liked purple haze, one good hippie, and he was an airborne ranger, i think.
