AA Weapons?

Hello i have a little question for you:
Yesterday i played a campaign mission of the 1965 era Vietnam campaign and i saw that the only aa missiles avaible were aim9 and aim4.
I said it's ok maybe in the 1965 aim7 were not in for F4 Phantom.
Then i created a mission to try this so i selected aim7 sparrow in the load out screen and surprise?when i clicked commit and went into the cockpit there weren't any sparrow loaded.
Someone could explain if it is a known thing or a mine bug that can be fixed?
