I'd like to know how are the campaings going to be set up for ME and ODS theaters? Can we have one that is less pumped up than Korea? I prefer to contend with a small amount class A fighters on my missions instead of swarms of class B fighters... in other words can we make a smaller scale war with fewer units to more realistically replicate the experience of a fighter pilot in actual combat facing REAL opponents in limited numbers? This will help boost FPS as well as get that distinct feel to the theater
After studying the campaign missions in F-15; TAW, and DI's F-16... I have come to the conclusion that missions with higher FPS and more challenge offer that distinct fighter pilot rush that F4 has never caught in the campaign. Fewer planes and units in action at a certain time allows for a challenging and more realistic campaign. It also sets the mood that you are a real combat pilot fighting for your nations interests in a desolate region of the world and provides for a more atmospheric feel. You will also have higher FPS

Along with the thrill of flying through a deep canyon is something that everyone looks forward to... along with multiplayer campaign missions; the player will feel like he is fighting a real war with Su-27s and F-14s as opponents and the campaign will generate a feeling of suspense; but not feel overwhelmingly impossible like in the situation where there are 60 Su-27s against your F-16 2 ship and a escort of 2 F-15s when China enters the war in the Korean Campaign. The thrill just isn't there and this situation is also extremely unrealistic in terms of modern war doctrine. So now instead of flying to your target with 15 FPS and fighting off 8 MiG-21s; you ingress and engage a two ship of Flankers. Afterwards you hit your target and egress and fight off a twoship of Tomcats... which one sounds more fun to fly? After flying a few missions in Janes F-15 last night; I feel that we have a lot to learn from the flightsims of the past in order to make this one better. Snakeman; how do you feel about creating a top notch campaign like this instead of a Koreaish one?
