Dem2L2 question: 2 countries
Hello,
A theater I'm trying to make gets information from 2 countries (US-Alaska) and Russia. If I can get .tdf files made, will there be separate sets for Russia and US, or can I cut and paste, for instance, the US-Roads.tdf at the bottom of the Russia-roads.tdf to get all the roads in one file?
Thanks.
Also, I'm not sure the DEM2L2 is making correct .tdf files, but I can ask more about that when I have more info.

Yes.quote:Originally posted by T_Rex:

But the more features you load to terrainview, the slower it gets. I suggest you only load the region you are tiling.

Re: Dem2L2 question: 2 countries
Thanks, that makes alot of sense.
Also, something has come up with the .tdf files for Russia. The area I'm trying to create is beyond long 180 east; that is, it is actually long 180 west (or -180) to about 170 west. I've been d/ling Russia-East information. When I try to create the .tdf files, nothing shows up in the terrainview map. I'm thinking of trying to download Russia-West. Think that'll be better.

Re: Dem2L2 question: 2 countries
Actually, I refered to the FAQ and found (part) of the answer. Apparently, to account for the above situation, Russia was "reprojected." Any chance of us figuring out how to "fix" this?
Thanks,

Re: Dem2L2 question: 2 countries
T-rex, I added a reply in the other thread. We basicly have the same problem, the Lambert projection instead of a geographic projection. Dem2L can't handle that. Miran, any comments ?
