Texas-Mexico Theater

Post by Gordo »

I wanted to build a Texas - Mexico Theater. I already have a good campaign mapped out in my head. I read the terrain tutorial, and it seems to be alittle advanced for us dumbshits. I downloaded the DEM and ran it in the DEM_2_L2. I was only able to get a small part of Texas to convert to a map due to the size. The red box area consisted of
a area of San Antonio, Austin, to Houston, and down to Madagorda Bay. How can I increase the size of the map data, or can I?

Thanks for the help. I figured it out and downloaded the data for the campaign and am processing it. I just didn't realize how small Europe was till now! Looks bigger on the maps.

HA, HA. I'll give ya an idea, and I was unaware you had to be interested before someone got help in this forum.
The setting is in the future. The Mexican goverment has been over thrown by leftist supported by, none other than Cuba. It is the last communits country in the Western hemisphere. The Cubans have supplied Migs and TUs used by the leftist to try to reclaim Texas.
Makes as good a theater as the other fictional theaters around.
So, CCC, fly some other theater if you don't like it. Thanks to Julian Onions great utilities, there are plenty to choose from.
I don't think I will be able to get it done without some help though, so if you would be so kind as to give me some technical assistance, I will post a copy at my site when finished. Who knows, you may even save Austin from a TU strike someday. Image

Do you still need some help for creating the terrain files?
