That is TE mission at Vietnam 128 x 128 segment map, as you can see the range of two waypoints is 546 miles, and thats not even close to the full range you can get with this map.

F-16 with full load of extra fuel tanks will not make it there and back.

128 segment map and TE missions are now reality. Still some problems in Campaign but I think those will be resolved very soon as they are basically the same thing. Actually I did get to the campaign, but after some time it just freezes.

Any idea if there's Vietnam era KC-135A skin? (silver with blue band around the fuselage, well depending on the unit).

Any idea if we could add smoke to the KC-135 and B-52? Those Vietnam era engines made these two really big smokers!

Now i can include Argentina landbases in Falkland theater! wait your test on campaign!

and Tazz, skins and smoke wont be problems,
I'll try to contact some geniuses for that.(or do it myself Image )

Thanks, but it was really effort that Julian Onions did. He snooped the sourcecode, gave me instructions, I tested and thats the result.

Oh btw, that is on eRAZOR 1.0799 and at least I havent got it to work on RP4 yet.

Ok when I get free time it should be fairly easy to convert Falklands map to 20 by 20 dem. My drive should still have the original Falklands zip with coordinates file, of course you can post them here if those are at hand.

Kind of off topic but what the heck, how about if you create B-52 and KC-135 skins for Vietnam era?

Man, I just got excellent line drawings from Joeri, including A-37, F-4B, RF-4, F-4E, F-100, F-102, and F-101/RF-101.

Just cant resist to model them...you know, vnam jets. err.. skins..i remember there are package by several authors on F4C.
where's Hamm? F4A? what should i go first? Image

ok let me contact Basil, He's very good at skins..(though he cant use new theaters on Mac, too bad)

Here is a screenshot for you guys (155kb) showing the true range of this 128 x 128 segment map. Next time when I'm flying a test flight, its gonna be KC-135 tanker or E-3 AWACS so there is enough fuel ! Image

Here is the latest on 128 segment theater with working TE's.

Upper part of the map

Lower part of the map, notice it goes ALL the way down now

And finally illustration of how much larger this map is compared to old Vietnam Theater 64 segment map which is outlined on white here, notice that the map will not fit into the TE map totally unzoomed, check two previous screenshots of the top and bottom

Finally the TE map is working correctly on the E debug exe, the zoom will go all the way and no parts of the map is left out. This is great, one big TE world for us to fly!

in bigger maps
so the object placing won't have to be done again???

Yes, but only objects (static). You still need to place all ground units manually which is hard work.

Also I'm not sure about links, will they still be valid on larger terrain with different .THR file and such. This is something we need to work out.
