Just received the milobj pack. Also I rarred everything up (all that I got so far) for a test and it was like 16mb worth of stuff. I'll have to think about how to arrange the bonus download now because of the size and number of different addon icon images.
I did not have plans to have such large amount of stuff available, easiest way would be put 1 rar up somewhere... we'll have to think about the best way to do this.
I think the best way would be to handle it as seperate downloadable packs. Taking the example layout of the seb_ilo pack I made (plus a readme file of course) would be one possible solution. As not everyone will need all the packs all the time, I think that this would be the best user-friendly way to go.
A long term solution would be to either eliminate the 3dpreview system entirely with a mini embedded version of ODOLex or more simply supporting JPG files in addition to BMP's. Using BIMP, you can roll an entire folder from BMP to JPG format automatically, then do a "replace all" in your ini files.
You might not wont to have such a large add on pack ,but it makes it easier for the people who use the tool if the extar's are there if they need them
so then they can look at the objects as they place them helps alot
well at least me it does plus it helps keep alive all the hard work people did to make the objects
I just completed the MapFact Oil Addon 3DPreview images and objects.ini / icon_images.ini files.
Next would be to update the AGS harbor pack images as the new one includes the prefabs. Also Baracken v1.5 has new stuff we dont yet have on. Does anyone have the new AGS/Baracken done yet?
