Open Broadcaster Software (OBS). OBS Studio. Free and open source software for live streaming and screen recording.

This is the go-to program to use capturing high quality, high resolution, 60 frames per second (FPS) video from desktop or video games. Its live streamers favorite software to use when live streaming either web cams, desktop or game captures.

I have personally used OBS since hmm cant even remember, before 2015 perhaps, not sure. All PMC videos and live streams are done with OBS, only the very earliest ones from 2011 or so were done with some, hmm was it FRAPS or some software like that, I don't think it even exist in 2024 anymore, today its all OBS studio.

If anyone wants me to write some basic stuff about OBS configuration settings for best video capture or live streaming quality, just let me know.
