mapUS Riverbend Springs has no fields just farmlands

Farming Simulator 25 (FS25) american terrain Riverbend Springs, editing wise known as mapUS, its got no fields, just farmlands.

Yes you read that correctly, FS25 has no fields, only farmlands.

One field you see in-game, field you can own is not FS17, FS19 and FS22 alike field definition configured field where AI farmer plants crops and works the field, in FS25 its just a piece of farmland.

Now all you experienced large terrain developers should be shocked because unless giants upgraded farmland image technology to allow more than the usual 256 channels, colors ie farmlands, then FS25 can only have max 256 fields.

I don't know as I've not inspected farmland images yet, but what I've seen from riverbend springs makes me very very worried

I’m a little confused here, what happens if you make a field that’s within a farmland? Does it become its own thing? I’m sure there will be a way to up the 256 limit sometime in the future, there has to be.

One farmland, one field. That is how PDA map in riverbend springs looks like.

Contracts board still talks about fields, but its just farmlands, there are no fields NUMBERS, the numbers you see in PDA map are just farmlands.

Now this new setup can go either way; its extremely GOOD if farmland image would allow more than 256 channels ie colors ie farmlands, then this is awesome feature. However if farmland image is still limited to 256 colors then its devastatingly BAD, meaning forget about making FS25 Spring Creek 12km by ARG_Afb or PMC Iowa Garden City 8km etc terrains which all have more than 256 fields.

I need to wait for giants editor v10 to be released to fully study how fields are done, sure I could check out the map.I3D file right now too you should be able to spot field definitions from there, but I just don't see them in PDA map image or from in-game 3D game play, in fact giants FS25 fields look like PMC, ARG_Afb and all other big boy farming developers terrains fields now, free form beautiful field edges without jagged 90 degree square edges.

So yeah, funny but scary situation, this is either really good or really bad news, I don't know which

Not sure where this belongs to and I'm too tired to create brand new topic for it, been FS25 farming all day and now in the last quarter of the day had to tinker with some terrain stuff. Wicked stuff.
