The limits of Giants Engine 10
Hello snake man, I wanted to know if it would be possible (if you think, obviously you won’t know, but I wanted to know your opinion on this anyways) to have a bigger map than the 45km king corn map from fs22. I remember reading up on you saying that 45 was literally the largest you could go, before it crashed entirely, but I also remember hearing that the game engine was improved, and ground detail was much more accurate. Do you think a larger map would be possible? And, do you think a map like 45km king Korn (if it were converted) would be more detailed in terrain accuracy wise. As in not having the issues with the, well, I’m not even sure what it’s called, but I think you know what I’m talking about. “Cultivator density?”

Re: The limits of Giants Engine 10
You are correct, I don't know, I can only guess. I don't know anyone who has access to the latest build of the game, its kind of funny as I even heard kermit the frog american community coordinator say that he has not played Farming Simulator 25 (FS25) yet, he only played some older build quite some time ago. So I highly doubt many people beyond giants office has access to the game who could share some info.
What do I think? Who cares what do I think., heh well guess you do since you specifically asked
Hopefully that was enough preface facts to set the ground rules here.
I think... honestly have not thought about it yet, how is Giants Engine 10 going to work. Giants Engine 9 (FS22) was improved a lot from Giants Engine 8 (FS19) mostly because they added the computer multi core "multi threading" support, meaning that one computer core processes whatever and another processes for example the DATA FILES handling like mentioned cultivator_density and fruit_density drawing/updating. This is the reason FS22 took leaps forward compared to previous games with the performance when it comes to huge image files that store "terrain data". OK guess that was a bit more preface but ok here I go; with my limited knowledge I just laid out, because FS22 already was multi threaded, I don't know what giants could add/upgrade in FS25 to top that, so I think FS25 will be exactly the same as FS22.
As I and you said, "I think". Who knows this is just speculation
Could FS25 add more details to terrain like PMC King Corn 45km or others of that size, I don't think according to the facts laid out above. The foliage (bushes and shrubbery), field ground texture (cultivated, seeded, harvested etc) and standard ground textures (_weight images) like asphalt, grass, pig mud etc, in my opinion remain the same quality, we cant make PMC terrain ground textures more detailed, they look blocky lego-alike for example roads, when you cut soybeans the harvester header bites big chunks and leaves more to one side than the other on these huge terrains.
Do I hope giants upgrade something under the hood which allows us to make larger terrains or lets say PMC terrains more detailed? Yeah of course, dude. Do I believe that will happen, unlikely. Giants run little girlie men 2 kilometer x 2 kilometer terrains for conzole peasants and they see no revenue growth on pleasing some american large terrain sicko-fans over at PMC forums
But hey, who knows maybe I'm wrong, maybe giants surprises us again with FS22 multi threaded support type upgrade and do something which allows us/me to do larger more detailed terrains.
Fact is that on nov 12th 2024 I'll start playing FS22 and will check file structure, I will try to see if it could be easily haxx0red to make a custom user made terrain just in text editor, I suspect this will fail, so then I just play, learn, document, update web pages with information and stories while waiting for Giants Editor v10 to be released. Once the editor has been released, assuming I could have not hacked new text editor terrain together, I will immediately stop everything else and jump into terrain research, like Private Joker said in Full Metal Jacket; I wanted to be the first kid on my block to get a confirmed kill!, meaning I want to have first custom made PMC terrain in-game FS25 as quickly/soon as humanly possible, "just because"

Thanks for the question, was fun to speculate a bit.
Further reference thoughts. Back in 2021 on FS22 release, here is UTC time stamped quote from my New Farmer Elmcreek story: 2021-11-21T23:00:00Z FS22 is released. 2021-11-24T22:26:00Z Giants Editor v9.0.1 released. It took giants three (3) days depending on how you count it, to release GE for FS22, will they be as quick on FS22 GE v10 or does it take longer, nobody knows, but that is my current expectation and hope.
