This is kind of developer diary-ish text how I created FS22 autodrive network waypoint routes.
2023-01-02T06:03:00Z Started PMC Cereal Region 32km v0.1.5 savegame.
2023-01-02T06:12:00Z Purchased warrior plus semi-truck, hooked it up to wilson pacesetter, sold all other equipment, configured autodrive to basic stuff and finally saved game.
I have to say that looking at this insanely large boring road grid terrain... it will take forever to record autodrive network waypoint routes and it will be extremely boring as this is mathematical road grid without anything interesting. I honestly doubt if I manage to record routes too long before being bored to death.
But lets give it a try at least.
2023-01-02T06:25:00Z Finished recording autodrive network waypoint route around the field just north of the dealership, both ways. Maybe its just my enthusiasm at the start, but this was not so bad as I expected, but obviously... its not been even 20min yet hehe.
2023-01-02T06:48:00Z F221 and the dealership routes done.
2023-01-02T07:00:00Z Next grid from the dealership to west done. Starting to get some sort of routine for this now.
2023-01-02T07:15:00Z Finished F222 route, both ways. Now I'm really starting to get bored for the grid stuff, going to start doing selling point snow which means much much longer routes, but at least this would add some real functionality to this autodrive network.
2023-01-02T07:20:00Z PMC Sell 01 done but this was by the dealership so heh. Also did the dealership vehicle repair area.
2023-01-02T07:41:00Z PMC Sell 10 done.
Hmm starting to get the picture, it will take HOURS to do just these selling points, heh. After doing that PMC Sell 10 I got a chance to use my existing autodrive network routes, I was in F200 NW corner and needed to go towards PMC Sell 12 so closest waypoint target was F220 S.
2023-01-02T08:16:00Z PMC Sell 12 done, I spent way too much time on this as I forgot took the route over there through "south side", then I looped back "north side" and finally I connected the looping back south side as well. Now I need to start just making it into a selling point and back, no matter if there are some "both ways" gaps.
2023-01-02T08:45:00Z PMC Sell 08 done, this was quite long way so took a while.
On the next selling point target I could again use existing autodrive network to drive part of the way, heh nice.
2023-01-02T09:04:00Z PMC Sell 06 reached, but loop has not been completed yet ...
2023-01-02T09:09:00Z PMC Sell 07 reached, but again loop has not been completed yet, heading back towards the point where loop can be finished.
2023-01-02T09:23:00Z And now 6 and 7 selling points loop has been completed.
2023-01-02T09:53:00Z PMC sell 05 full loop completed, uah.
Yeah its been already almost 4 hours of recording autodrive network waypoint routes
2023-01-02T09:57:00Z Sent semi-truck to F324 E, took a restroom break and walked around to stretch my legs a bit.
2023-01-02T10:39:00Z PMC Sell 03 reached in a loong, well, umm, not loop, not yet.. heh. BTW starting to get really tired, but I'll keep recording network, gotta get these selling points done.
2023-01-02T11:04:00Z Saved game and shut down fs22, had to call it a night I am way too tired, making mistakes chance increases by the minute, nites.
2023-01-02T16:45:00Z New autodrive network route recording day has started, just woke up and did mandatory computer chores, have not eaten days first meal yet just launching PMC Cereal Region 32km up now to continue recording
Last night I recorded route right around PMC Sell 02 but was too tired to finish it, lets get it done now, one loop around F089.
2023-01-02T16:49:00Z Drove to PMC Sell 02 and its positioning is absolutely stupid, its right next to an intersection making it extremely tight turn for semi-truck to come from the main road and turn into this selling point, so I am going to skip making that connection and instead wrote bug report that PMC Sell 02 needs to be moved few hundred meters towards east, or maybe even over F088.
Then I started to drive towards south to PMC Sell 11, its our last selling point not yet autodrive network connected (well besides what I just said above hah).
2023-01-02T17:12:00Z PMC Sell 11 connected all the way back to PMC Sell 10 route. Now I saved game and its time to eat days first meal
2023-01-02T17:45:00Z Feeding time is over, back to recording autodrive network waypoint routes.
2023-01-02T17:57:00Z Connected the "western sector" back to the dealership closest curve, this is now from west to east direction, there is still no east to west lane done, so if you want to go to PMC Sell 11 you have to take a very long detour through north. Now proceeding further to the east to connect that far eastern most north bound route.
2023-01-02T18:10:00Z Eastern connection done to F227 NW corner where the north bound route goes.

That is the current autodrive network waypoint routes. At this point the dealership and all selling points (with PMC Sell 02 exception) are connected to autodrive network. This is the very basic functionality for a terrain. From this players can start to build the autodrive network up according to their farm yard setups.
PMC Cereal Region 32km does not have a single farm yard, or even distinction between asphalt and dirt roads as all roads are dirt. This is a big problem with this terrain and I would definitely like to fix that, PMC.TODO website lists bunch of issues which I'm not going to repeat here (if this goes to dev diary or PMC forum well ugh then I guess I'm an inbred haha).
2023-01-02T18:16:00Z Saved game and exited fs22, we are done, for now.
Changed savegame1 directory name to savegame7, this is now autodrive MASTER savegame for this terrain, I hooked that dir up to _run_backup_FS22_autodrive_savegame7_cereal_region.bat file which will be dedicated one click backup bat for this terrain, no need to worry about shuffling dirs around etc, only thing I need to make sure that any edits to autodrive network is done in this MASTER savegame7 dir, or if I'm playing regular whatever savegame that I'll copy the master Autodrive_Config.xml config file from this dir into my savegame and other way around if I edit the network in there. Err did I explain that in confusing manner, heh sorry.
But for now, PMC Cereal Region 32km autodrive network basic route waypoints are done
