Terrainview autotiling not working

Post by Malc »

Can anyone advise...? I have made a new texture.bin and texture.zip file but now when I go into Terrainview the auto-tiling feature is not working. I have changed the config page to refelct the new namess of the tiles i want to use, but now joy. Anyone know a fix?

Well obvious thing is to not use it, it never worked really good although your question of course is that its not working at all, but just use CATE to tile and leave the out dated Terrainview auto tiling feature alone.

Why would you want to use it anyways? I'm honestly trying to think situations where it would come in handy, but none of them out weight the benefits of CATE use.

But to think about the reasons why the auto tiling feature is not working after you put in new tile-offsets... I have no clue, it should work (as badly as it did), but its been years since I used it so dunno.

I'm doing little sections of terrain to test out how the tilesets I created look in-sim, and don't want to go to all the bother of doing long complicated CATE rules for the sake of some 4x4 sections of terrain if the tiles turn out to be rubbish.
