Demo will be released next week, i expect monday or thuesday. We are now testing it, as we must cuted lot of data and landscape, its qiute complex to not foregot anything. Size will be around 2 GB.

Maruk posted in this topic new information about the demo:

I am pleased to confirm that we are planing to launch the ARMA II Demo soon (however, it may not be this week as was previously expected).

The demo will feature a lot of content for singleplayer, multiplayer and also mission editing and will be 2+ GB large due to amount of content we decided to include.

More information on the exact release plan and demo content will follow in coming days.

Tried out the demo and it looks great. I didn't touch the options and it seemed to put in more details as what I'm using the full game setup, for example the fill rate was 125% when I use only 100 in full game. Then of course the new v1.02 patch changes which I cant use/see in my full game 1.01 setup.

The demo ran smooth, no framerate problems at all, it was very cool. The benchmark said to me 28 fps.

MP didn't work that good, I only got to join one server, others (must have been like 10 tries) failed with various reasons mostly it being disconnected or being stuck at receiving data. Who knows if its just my internet or bad net code, remains to be seen.

Today I'll get to test some more MP.

Had a more MP time tonight, was very nice, but still I had difficulties to connect on some servers, even some crashes.

The demo build runs great, I can crank it up to highest details and get 19fps, with High details setting I get stable 27fps which is great. With those settings it just looks so unbelievable, oh man.
