Post all WIP models ect. your making for PMC Somalia here so that the mod fans can see whats going on behind the scenes.
(Sticky thread maybe?)
I've started on a Somali boat which banana has also put alot of work into. The boat should seat 6, 2 in driver area, 3 in the middle, and 1 gunner. And thats including supplies put into the boat. And a small project the M224 60mm Mortar, pics will come soon.
Here's some pics:

For the technicals I have no screenshots as I'm just starting to configure them and setting the model.cfg files. Models itself are mostly prepared and ready.
Terrain has got some improvements, yes, its still random placement stuff but its highly improved to the initial release version.
Robert Hammer's AK47 is also setup to a weapons pbo and initial config done, no ingame testing same as technicals.

Some destroyed buildings or at least destroyed textures for BIS buildings would be one thing. Then small historic modifications for the BIS models, at least UH60 needs some tweaks, dunno about hummers and trucks as I'm no expert. Of course we should investigate about UN forces, I think we shouldn't try to do them as someone else has done those already(?), Hmm dunno really.
In a nutshell we have quite good basic mod skeleton right now, better than anyone has ever done since OFP. Sure we have much tweaking to do, but we aren't really missing anything that makes this unplayable/worthless.

Updated MAC-10 progress. Also i'm working on a somali boat with a shallow water outboard much like a mud flat motor, It will probably have 3 variations Cargo, Supplies, and 2 seat gunboat with one driver and one gunner at the bow(If they can mount Guns on trucks why not boats?).
I'll probably give you pictures of the boat in the next 2 weeks since its very early WIP and im making it from scratch.
I'm also thinking about a G3 after the boat depending on if anybody has made a good one for arma yet.
Yes,I say good work in modelling as well.
The G3 thingy brought me to an idea, a Galil. The south african version R5 was exported to a lot of african countries, somalia as well.
The modeling is not done yet (Missing some details) and the stock was just for fun, more placeholder nature, it will be changed because the R5 has a telescop stock.
Thanks to banana for showing off his R5 i now see how fast and how high detail you can model in 3ds max. So i've started over my boat and am now making it in 3ds max from scratch, as my first 3ds max model. I'm still learning the ropes but i have most of the major parts done and after i completely shape it i'll give you a few pics. Lol it still took me an hour to get the bulk of the base done and probably will take an hour to shape it. i only have like 150 poly's right now but its still faster than what i was modeling in before.
Ok well after making various fixes i was getting a bit over worked. also i had a problem so i asked banana about it, and he offered to fix it, that was nice i said sure. And well i got this back lol i cant see too much of my base model in it but yeah alot of this is bananas work he sent me a 3,000 poly base model with a basic motor and a basic 50 caliber with mount. thanks alot banana, so ill post a screen shot of it in my original post.
Well i have taken some time off from the boat to work on this. It's an M224 60mm Light Mortar, Basically i have made a base model for everything except the base plate and the sight both of which i'll make at a later time. The base plate and sight you see are just place holders.
This is only 2,000 polys its 2 days work, i fully intend to add every small external detail up to the chain between the bipod. But for now im shaping it from the ground up until i get the model looking perfect. And here's some pics!
I'll post new ones on my first post of the thread once i get a way better looking mortar.
