Can anyone remember CATE configs...? I can't see what I'm doing wrong with this one -
Code: Select all
[Rules]
Color=-1,-1,-1
ForceFog=* * *
TileRule=0 13 (1-23,32-46,240-254,416-423,514-523,528-535,672-679,704-711,720-733,912-919,1136-1150,1168-1191) (*) * * * F3
TileRule=0 13 (,1280-1287,1312-1319,1328-1334,1424-1443,1456-1459,1824-1831,2384-2397,2288-2311,2369-2382) (*) * * * F3
[EndRules]
I want to change the altitude of any tile in the lists between 0 and 13 feet, and make it 3 feet.
TIA!

At least I can't remember config values correctly, I have tons of configs laying around from all the theaters but haven't made any editing to them yet. Sorry.

Malc,
Your rule looks correct based on my limited knowledge and use of CATE. What are the symptoms of it not working? Any errors reported? ...

I get the same error on some of my road-river TDF files.

Gah, finding bugs 4 years later, and you expect me to know why it crashes ??
Sorry, can't say : in the second Tile Rule, is it normal to start with "(,1280", i.e. nothing before the "," ?
Regards.

Without any F4 installed, and maybe without the CATE sources (not sure, I think I lost them at one point but downloaded them back
), it will be hard for me to debug ...
OTOH, I think a very similar bug had been corrected. Are you sure you're running the latest version ? With the correct VB support (DLL) files installed ?
Regards.

Okay - sorted it!
Believe it or not, the problem lay in the [Rules] header. I changed it to [Rules: Fix Coasts] and job's a good 'un!
I have to confess though... I wouldn't have sussed it with the source...

Hi Tom, yes I did - thanks VERY much!
Line 360 of the CATE source says...
Code: Select all
If UCase$(Left$(tmp, 7)) = "[RULES:" Then 'Rules section
which told me I needed a colon after the RULES and without it I was going nowhere... ever...
I dunno what's better - the fact I got it to work, or I was able to work out what I had to do from examining the source.
