Tacedit configuration to change TE Bullseye?

Post by Aussie_Battler »

Hi all,

Working on a TE up north and would like to change the default X-390 Y=464 location of the bullseye. Tryed just changing the numbers within Campaign/Location TAB with Tacedit but doesnt change in-game.

The help says: "Bullseye X/Y - where the bullseye is located. This depends on configuration as to whether this field is obeyed or not."

Anyone know what configuration is being referenced here? Tacedit/F4Patch?

Thanks for any ideas!

It seems its as simple as unapplying the "Floating Bullseye" patch in F4Patch. It must ommit edited values in TE's and just load the Default BE position.

The TE doesnt have a .tri associated with it like the .cam does, however, with Floating Bullseye off, the BE appears at the Tacedit co-ordinates.

Problem for me is that my squad uses "Floating Bullseye" in its baseline F4Patch filter, so none of my squadmates would see the changes anyway!!

Oh well, thanks for your reply.

We also used the Floating bullseye as a part of our filter until we discovered that it stopped you seeing any changes to it's position made with tacedit, it has since been removed, it is really only of use to those who fly Campaigns and are not able to move it themselves, (the floating bullseye I mean) other than that it is redundant, why not suggest to your squad command that you remove the patch?
