Can't install F4 Patch SuperPak1a

Each time i run it,after expanding the data i get the error message that the program has run an illegal operation and it will be terminated.Any idea what's going on?Older versions worked fine (ex F4 Patch RP5).Thanks for your help

1.) Unistall Falcon 4.0
2.) DELETE your ENTIRE Falcon 4.0 folder
3.) RESTART COMPUTER
4.) Reinstall Falcon 4.0
5.) Install 1.08
6.) RESTART COMPUTER
7.) Install SuperPak

Uninstall F4, delete all remnant of F4, DELETE ALL REGISTRY ENTRIES related to F4, reinstall...

If that doesnt work, either, reinstall Windows OR create a Dual Boot environment, purely for F4 (the best option)...

By having two versions of windows on the same computer... Id recommend Win98 (for falcon4), then install Win2K (for everything else you wanna do on your PC. Word Processing, Image Manipulation, or whatever else u play)... Or even vice versa...

For all the detail on creating Dual Boot setups, checkout http://www.microsoft.com/technet/ . from memory, there are a few articles there on the best way to install multiple OS's...

Zaggy why you recommend win98 to play falcon? I get reports that win2k is the best to play falcon!

Hunter, purely because 'I' have yet to play F4 on Win2k, and check it out properly... (also note i did say 'or vice versa' too Im hearing Win2k provided greater stability and increased frame rates for F4, and as an MCSE/Snr System engineer/Technical Services consult, Win2k as an OS, ROCKS!!!!

Im just hesitant to recommend something I personally havent messed with... thats all...

I play Falcon on W2K with Sp1a and I have no problems. I must say though I've seen reports that people were having problems with SP1a in W2K if they didn't have Service Pack 2 installed...
