New 3d toys! XX
In case you miss it, Spike's beautiful Mig-31 shown in this thread:
http://forums.frugalsworld.com/vbb/show ... adid=21829
Aside from nice 3d tweaking, Viperwear guys do GREAT job!!! the model, though being tweaked much much better than previous one, can't do this nice looking without this skin, it simply camoflaged some simplified polys and create the awesome illusion of hi-polys!! well done.

Yeah, I took Rons Syrian MiG25 skin, and with his permission modified it for the new MiG31 model. The Squadron I based it on is from the Arkhangel'SK district. I thought it turned out great, glad others like it too

Re: New 3d toys! XX
so i wondered VW support came that fast!
well done really. better ask Spike to use Decal polys for red star, should be sharper.
BTW take a look at SimHQ site, Projket 1 forum. 3d modeler ArmourDave do great job on new a/c modeling. hope we can use some help..seems he's a quick hand, and models are nicely textured-- save us tons of effort i think.

my 2c, unless you got a new gfx engine and it adapts 3ds/gmx format, we can hardly achieve that detail, maybe one or two, but never for all a/c.
well, i'd rather have a fully operational, AI-smart-realistic buff than a flying eyecandy. Our advantage is HOT simulation environment, f4 world is never the land of peace!!

Quake, the production F-22 doesnt use the nose probe anymore, i was wondering if you were gonna remove it. every Raptor after 004 doesnt have it. Also there at Langley AFB if anyone wants to know.

Quake: Were those shots of everything splayed out for the "virtual airbrake"? If so, very nice! Is the gear animated?

YES baby! Quake's F22 use many DOF/switch features. the only thing i've not noted is missile bay(s).
sure, all features you can think of are DOFed.

Here is the only picture I've seen of the F-22 Raptor's cockpit. It's a decent front view, though not very high resolution. You'd have to use some serious imagination to work with it at all.
