Frames per second

Post by crimson »

How do you find out how many frames per second that you are getting during the sim? And what is a good realistic frame rate for combat. I do notice a difference between a campain and just a quick fly since during the campain ther are a lot more things going on.

CTRL-Z R brings up the FPS counter.

I guess good framerate would be 24 and up :)

As Snake Man said, CTRL-Z R is the right command to see the FPS counter. I think the command is same both US and european keyboards.

Well, in case you've got a german keyboard, it must be Ctrl (Strg) + Y + R

Hey,

No I'm using the usa version. And I tried it again and I still don't see it. WHere is it suppose to show up on the screen. Is it in a box or something orin the controls, I don't see it. Maybe somebody could send me a screen shot with the counter in it so I know what I'm looking for. I would really like to know where this is to tweak my system.

Thanx,

First you press Ctrl + Z then you press the R key. (I dont think that all the three keys should be pressed at the same time...eg. press CTRL + Z, release those two and then press the R key..) ;)
