Problem on Theater switcher seems to be solved. You need an uncommented korea.tdf file. Get it from F4SP Yahoo-groups, message# 18130.

Get a crash when I try to look at cockpit map. Hotfix applied, SP2, no cockpit maps applied. Any way around ?

Hi,
I have just solved the F4Patch issue. (See message posted March 09, 2002 07:31 PM in this threat).
Here is what I did:
Copy "theater.lst" from Falcon4.0 main folder to F4Patch\FalconSP folder
Move "DesStorm" folder from Campaign-folder to Falcon 4.0 main folder.
Change "desstorm.tdf" file in terrdata\theaterdefinition that it points to the new location if "DesStorm" folder:
# Where the campaign directory is
campaigndir desstorm

I have the same problem is there anything that can be done to fix this?? also in the create a mission UI when you look at the objects on the map such as airports installtions..etc..etc.. they appear in wrong place incirclik AB appears on the Red Sea among other things such as that anything i can do to fix it???

Does anyone know where I can get the SP2a at?
Also in regards to my last post with the objects being out of place, i was able to fix it but i had to run the EF4PT... 3 times for it to work right after reinstalling the whole falcon system. Weird huh?

Hi,
I had a black horizon when I first installed ODS. After running it 3 times, the black horizon was gone.
I used to fly with texture slider at 4. Setting it to 5, and the black horizon was gone even after the first install.

Only problem that remains is a switching of the sounds folder - the sound effects can be switched, but switching the talkfile is not possible - the new voices can't be heard - however I'll try to figure out why that happens tomorrow.

The problem is that the SP2 and current F4P Versions still use the F4PCampaign plugin which changes a file in all subfolders of Falcon4\Campaign.quote:Originally posted by Snake Man:

This was necessary pre-SP2 to have the same files in all subfolders, so when switching with F4Patch (save->temp, balkans->save, temp->balkans and back...) the RealismPatch and others would still be shown applied. As we don't switch folders anymore, this plugin is also not needed anymore.

There seems to be multiplayer bug in ODS beta. When getting into "Receiving Units" part it just hungs there, at least the client does that.
Earlier we had hung or was it CTD on the Receiving Objects part, but now its units. Could it be that my ground units/squadrons are somehow wrong?

After i installed build 20310 and reran the terrain installer and used 5 it was fine again. Though i didnt get the same UI screen this time. It said F4ME instead of the brown edge and the F-16. (i think its because i was using 800x600 instead of the Hi-Res UI).

The thing you report as a bug could be that you run different versions of builds, not compatible, or that someone pooints to the wrong exe.

i made a compeltely fresh install and performed the ef4Pinstall by the mail ,but no go ;-((, even read every prob on the forum here wishing there is a solution but............

Other option is to open windows explorer and "surf" into the falcon directory terrdata\desstorm\terrain and to see the file sizes in that directory.
What I'm asking that if any of those files are 0 bytes or so, then you got a problem.

I'm alive at least.
Been playing with the latest builds and the campaign here. It has decent activity so far.
The new CATE processed terrain has better desert type quality than before, not so foggy anymore.
CATE is also currently chewing those airbase backgrounds and if everything works well, we have ALL (all goddamn 320 of them) airbases of ODS background tiled and leveled. Meaning they are not showing that ugly "stairs effect" anymore.
JSTARS window is now working on the exe and the map has been updated to reflect that.
Multiplayer still gets hung on "Receiving Units" part and Threat Circles -> Radar will get you a CTD.
Oh and the current BETA is taken offline and new installer is ready. Still few more nice goodies to add there and then we have another 65mb download in ahead of us

I´m building some TE´s for ODS-128. I would like you post here some suggestions about the training missions and TE´s. For example.. in which airbase may I place the training ( flat landscape or mountains... ) and also, some info about the 1991 Desert Storm missions, and if you want create some TE´s yourself, send me the missions to albertingm@wanadoo.es later, i will send all of them to Snakeman

ODS latest build has been compiled to single exe installshield installer.
Beta testers are emailed about the download.
Instructions: click the exe and click few next buttons, its easy as that.
Changes in this BETA v0.2 preview 4
