flying the first mission, as escort to an oca strike.
there is an enemy ground formation a couple miles north of location x=181, y=846.6.
Now, twice i've had problems near this area, but i suspect it's caused by the flight i am escorting setting up to attack their target, maybe hitting their IP.
The first time i got a clean CTD, the 2nd time i lost sound (i just got windows "dings" a couple of times)
I am using e1.10+rp5, with all the rpg 3d models, f4patch sounds 4.1, f4skins.
here is the crashlog file if it is handy

Re: Sound loss/CTD in ODS
That means windows puts out some error dialog. Why dont you run the same mission with falcon windowed, then you could see the error dialog?quote:Originally posted by Bard:

Start falcon by "-window" parameter.
Lets hope eF team would tell us what that crashlog means.quote:here is the crashlog file if it is handy

Re: Sound loss/CTD in ODS
You said it happened near a troop concentration.... could it have been something to do with the SA-9 texture? I've heard rumblings that it is causing CTD's no matter where you fly.

Re: Sound loss/CTD in ODS
I have the very same problem, configuration and the same crashlog as above. Any ideas what this problem might be? I discovered that Instant action makes no problems at all.

Re: Sound loss/CTD in ODS
It most likely is campaign related. If anyone can point me to the bug so that it can be reprocuded for me to test on, it would be great help.

Re: Sound loss/CTD in ODS
I unchecked SA-9 textures, flew a mission near Kuwait and got a CTD. I guess it ain't SA-9 related

Re: Sound loss/CTD in ODS
Eh, me too. But since I unchecked the SA-9 textures I believe I don't get so much CTDs as before (might be my imagination)

Re: Sound loss/CTD in ODS
As I never experienced this problem its difficult for me to say what could be wrong. But it was posted on Frugals forums that guys had similiar sound loss to CTD problem on (guess what) on Korean campaign (Scoob's I think), so hey maybe its not ODS related afterall.
They said it was fixed by removing ALL F4Patches (of course this case you cant remove ODS itself) and trying again.
So go ahead and remove all fancy F4Patch patches if you encounter sound loss - ping -CTD error.
Let me know if it helps.
