In your falcon directory terrdata\korea\texture there file called texture.zip

Open that zip up and you'll have Falcon 4.0 default Korean textures.

Hey ccc how ya doin? No its not for building anything as I wouldnt even know where to begin! Its for a map handling software package that allows terrain tile overlays to match up with sat pics at the University here.. IF I bring in the F4 Korean Tiles they will tell me how accurate it is to real life!

One more question can I gain access to the tiles directly off the CD or do I have to install it? If I can just carry the CD over to teh college it would be alot easier on me!

(Cant install game there they dont have the correct setup for it.

In the Falcon 4.0 cd there is directory :

terrdata\korea\texture

Check that out and unzip the texture.zip

Thanks for teh heads up Snake man I should of looked better I expected it to be under teh terrain folder andnot the texture folder! However I notice that the tiles are 128 x 128? I thought they were 256 x 256... is there any way I can get tehm into that format without to much data loss? If I cant this terrain validation project is dead before it can start since they standardized on 256x256 tiles.......

Well just resize them. hmm why is your terrain project dead if they arent 256x256?

Hey guys..... Well I resized the tiles(Snake_man the University software only reads tiles in 256 x 256 format, sorry I am such a newbie to graphics manipulations) but they lost alot of detail... However the Univ says that the tiles are not related to sat shots of Korea. I guess I should of RTFM first becasue it states that sat shots were not used for the terrain

Oh well! This, however, has given me an idea about a new theatre since the tiles are more or less generic... Is anyone doing a Taiwan/PRC theatre with Japan and USNavy envolvement? I have been doing alot of research lately into this and I want to build a theatre for this(since Taiwan used the Viper it should fit right in!

Contact a guy named TTSO, he's in charge of this project. dunno if he makes any progress lately..or drop it.
i cant remember his email address, but you can post on Combatsim or Delphi board to draw his attention.

Didn't the F4UT Terrain group use egroups aka yahoo groups ? Or am I mistaken?
I am looking to become a member simply to have an additional resource to draw upon of posts. I figure there are things there that have been discussed or posted that have not been posted here. That's all.

Yes, F4ME and the Balkans gang, also SPx including the SP5 was in there if I recall correctly. I just absolutely hated the freaking place from the start, I always suggested (when time/position came) that we F4 dudes move into some cool forum things, but no...

Gives me chills to think about using that thingy, eew.
