I'm following Ultimate Theater Tutorial, but I've some trouble.
Please, help me:
1. how I can create .MAP file?
2. Can someone send me VB6 files need to work Cate?
3. about .PAL files?
Please, have patience. I've read all readme.txt, but I've a great lot of info to digest.
Just some tips.

Which theater?
quote:1. how I can create .MAP file?
dem2terrain creates this, but you need the JASC PaintShopPro PAL color palette file for it.
quote:2. Can someone send me VB6 files need to work Cate?
Use the forum search command on Theater Tools area to search these files and the comdlg32 also. All can be found there.
quote:3. about .PAL files?
Texture tutorial explains how to create paintshoppro palette file.

Snake Man,
thanks for reply.
I've downloaded world area N60-S30-W115-E160, including japan, koreas, russia (a little), china (N-E), Kurili isles.
I think that area can permit several minor theater 64x64 or great theater 128x128. I'd like to have a great sea-land scenario where red side (china-russia-Nkorea) fight blu side (SKorea-Japan). (At present day I'm flying Rolling Fire campaign from red side).
I understand that can appear too high :( , because I'm not sure to maintain time assigned to me by a theater group.
I've encountered problem downloading china drainage (network), so I've downloaded drainage (point and supp). Please, can I use these features instead of drainage (network)?
Still, what's JASC? I've PSP4.14.
Thanks for your help and support.
Please, let me to ask You when I encounter trouble too.
Best regards.

Heya Joker-

I'm not an authority on this or anything, but I think there are problems with the Chinese download data. There's also a problem with the Russian information. That may be why you're having problems with the Chinese river info.

JASC is the company that makes Paintshop. There may be a more recent version than yours on the net. I know there's evaluation versions of the most recent versions that are good for 30 days or so. There may even be programs out there that "help" with that problem.

Hope this helps. :)

No, I have tried different types of software, Globalmapper..etc etc, but no joy. Soooo, I mailed Maproom a request to make Russian data available for downloads in geographic projection. Will update you when I get an answer.

Finally, I've downloaded all chinese river datas. I've selected all three features: drainage (net), drainage (point), drainage (supp), then compute data, and download coverage. All three features are present in the file.
Big trouble with Russia. I've downloaded Russia center and russia east features, but them don't appear in the map when I load *.e00 file in dem2terrain. (?????)
Still, using PSP4.14 (I'll purchase PSP704) I've created some tiles (using Zaggy's tile meistering tut). There's some questions:
1. how to save them?
2. in which format?
3. what must I design in each single tile?
Please, any tips or examples available will be very appreciate.
thanks in advance. bye.

For now, russian dcw data is not accessible. They are in Lambert projection and you want it in Geographic projection.

Sirs,
please, I need some help.
I've read updated 'Zaggy's tile meistering tutorial'.
I'm working om generic tile, road tile, river, etc.
What do I do with these tiles? and with full tilable sets?
My big trouble is understand 'connection' between any tiles and .pal color palette file, so to create theater.map file in dem2terrain.
I've read several times Zaggy's tut and Ultimate theater tut, but something slips from my mind.
(Still, about H, M, and L tile, so as .RGB and PCX.)
These tutorial are excellent, but I need help.
Thanks for your patience.
