I have not Linux - please help

Hi everybody

We want to create a new theater. According with the tutorial, I have the map.bin file and the www.maproom.psu.edu data, but we do not have Linux and I cannot create the necessary files for TerrainView. What can we do now? Help please.

Download the perl for windows from www.perl.com and use that.

How to use perl for windows... that I dont know, never did try it out.

I downloaded and installed Perl. Now the problem is how to use it. I copy the scrip like it is in the tutorial, but a message says "Syntax error" and other. I am the whole day whit this and I have tried everything.

Just a wild guess as I have NEVER used perl for windows.

try "perl perlscript.pl parameters" because the "./perlscript.pl parameters" is only linux commandline with the ./ front of the scriptname.

Well, I must be an idiot but I dont know to use perl. I tried to read a tutorial but it speak about connections to a server and I dont know what server to use. Everybody can use the scripts, but I dont. I wanna cry.

Ok if you need terrain and terrain features to get done for example, just give me a map coordinates and the country names of which you want the terrain features done.
I'll create them for you and send you by email, how about that?

Let me know how they work, oh btw you'll need TerrainView v1.45 for it to run ok... if there is anything missing, or maybe you need the TE map files, let me know.

I said yesterday that I am an idiot and I repeat it today. I copied bad the coordinates. Please, dont strike to me because I have done it already. Is it possible that you send me the new files? I promise you that NEVER I will return to bother to you. The correct coordinates are:

left -10.0
right 0.0
up 41.0 (here is the error)
down 31.0

If you dont want or you can´t, I will understand it perfectly.

Hmm you mean it makes difference between 0.9 degrees in your map?

C'mon 0.9degrees is nothing in Falcon 4 universe.

Or did I get your coodrinates totally wrong (40 degrees)?

The difference is very important, because whit the old coordinates it is not the city of Madrid (and more important, the Torrejon airbase, one of the most important airbases of Spain, where was based the F-16 of the USAF-E)
