Ok, to all involved in the Middle East campaign I would like to have a sincere disscussion. I know you guys are doing the best you can do, and I see that the work you are doing is being taken for granted. However I would like to openly discuss some issues regarding the tiling. It looks VERY repetitive and boring. Also very unrealistic, ESPCIALLY THE IRAN TILES!! I know the conception of the Middle East is deeply imbedded into your minds as being nothing but dessert and sand. Well Saudi Arabia maybe, Egypt maybe, NOT Syria, NOT most of Iraq, AND DEFENITELY NOT IRAN. In fact IRAN IS SURRONDED BY MOUNTAINS, AND IS RICHLY full of vegetation. Espcially to the NORTH AND WEST. The only dessert found in Iran is south of the city of Shiraz which is the coastline of the Persian Gulf. I would most hopefully not want to fly over Iran and see the (screenshots) so far of just sand, sand, sand, sand and more sand!!!!!!! That is not IRAN. I mean just take a look at www.spaceimaging.com and look at the Iran pic. That is a city which has somewhat of a dessert feel, only not like the Arabian dessert, more like the GRAND CANYON, rocky, mountainous and FULL OF LIFE!!!!! Also cities (large cities) and roads (PEOPLE IT IS THE OLDEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD WITH OVER 3000 YEARS OF DISTINGUISHED HISTORY, I WOULD THINK THEY HAVE ROADS AND INFRASTRUCTURE!!!!) Don't make it a flat, repetitve and dead Sand dune dessert!@!!!!!!
LOOK AT SOME PICS, BOOKS, AND VIDEO, and grasp the feeling of the environment. ESPCIALLY over IRAN and SYRIA, Iraq, Saudi Arabia should have different tiles than IRAN AND SYRIA. (That would be a great breakthrough in the sim) Real environmental and atosmpheric change during flight!!!!!
Choa for now, hope this will cause some healthy debate and suggestions. I thank you all!!!

Re: MIDDLE EAST TILES
hmm...very constructive comment.
though ME tiles and tiling are subject to change at this moment.
btw, you may check some screenshots on "Nevada theater" section, see if they look like the mountains in Iran.

Re: MIDDLE EAST TILES
Hi, here are a few things I want to tell you
1.) I have created vegetation tiles for Iran
2.) The data elevation map used in the theater is accurate from NASA
3.) The screenshots that you saw were pictures of the arabian desert
Having said that, I think you can wait until we release some pictures of the Iranian half of the theater, with is huge mountains and canyons so you can be happy

Re: MIDDLE EAST TILES
ok, T-Bone,
I´m going to download the terrain files and look them over. I´ve also downloaded all of the available programms nesseccary to work on the roads, coasts and so on...
I´ll work on one of them first and send it to you to make sure that´s what you guys are looking for and made the way you want it. Patience, this is a whole new ball game for me. I´m more than happy to lend my effort when you need it.
