Memory leak in Texture Finder

Post by Solero »

It seems memory allocated for texture previews is never freed.

Could you add some more specifics? Immediately after loading a wrp, if you minimize wrptool does the memory levels drop? What OS (service pack) do you have?

Specificly I need:

Memory used & VM size:
a) when wrptool is initially loaded
b) when bis's abel.wrp is completed loaded
c) while wrptool is minimized immediately after loading wrp
d) when wrptool is 'restored'

OS version, service pack number if any

Texture pbos (names only plz), if any non-bis ones are used

Wrp size

Thanks.

All I'm saying is that after 5-10 minutes of browsing textures in the Texture Finder WrpTools' memory usage is way up there :) It seems another 1-3 mb is allocated for each texture you look at. But yes, I checked and the memory is actually freed again when you minimize the main window.

I have mostly been playing around with Resistance textures from O.pbo

a) 7200 KB
b) 129252 KB
c) 1068 KB
d) 16552 KB

I use Windows XP SP1

ok desu... your numbers look right on. I'll test some scenarios on the texture finder to see what happens and post the results later.
