No, all our installers fail for-AF if original 1998 Falcon 4 registry is not present.

It looks like from this threads discussion that T_Rex came up with a fix based on info provided by Khronik....?

T Rex suggested we add the original registry and then remove it. I said no because I dont want to rape the registry.

I know that if nobody will fix tinstall for us, then thats the only choice, but I'm still hoping some C coder comes along and creates new util for us.

Again, I will ask (as did Khronik previously)...why not ask Tom Waelti if we could use Hitiles installer which doesn't need the original F4 registry entry? There is no harm in asking. It replaces SPTInstall (one for one replacement).

In tdf definition files, 3dobject and default objects are not defined with the #, cos using the Korea default one. Which is right in theory.

By experience with OF we can have problems if they are not redefined.

I strongly recommand to define them, at least for OF.

Replacing

# default objects
#objectdir terrdata\objects

# misc textures
#misctexdir DesertStormTheaterAddon\misctex

# 3d object files
#3ddatadir terrdata\objects

by

# default objects
objectdir terrdata\objects

# misc textures
misctexdir terrdata\misctex

# 3d object files
3ddatadir terrdata\objects

Seems useless, but not.
